Blue Ridge is about Building
Relationships including strong families. |
As director of
children and family ministries but also as a parent, I believe in the importance
of adult spiritual role models in the lives of children. A church is one place
where families can receive the “extended family” support and guidance that is so
often missing in our families today due to the mobile society in which we live.
BRUMC is so blessed to have older adults in our congregation that are always
willing and ready to speak an encouraging word, give a little praise, and make a
child feel special. Being an active part of a church family is a wonderful way
for our children to learn that they are special, important and loved by all of
us, especially by our Father in Heaven.
