BLUE RIDGE PARTNERSHIP WITH STEPPING STONE
Stepping Stone, located at 51st and Noland Road, is a nonprofit, independent organization that offers transitional housing for young people 16-20 years old, who are experiencing homelessness. Their mission is to provide a supportive community where these young people can develop skills to live independently.
The Mission Justice Team would like to see Blue Ridge develop a partnership with this organization, by provid-ing household items for their apartments. We are looking for our congregation to donate new and gently used sheets, blankets and comforters (twin size), pillows, bath and hand towels and washcloths, kitchen towels and dish rags, cookware, dishes, glassware, silverware, and other kitchen utensils. We will collect these items between now and the end of September. You can drop them off in the boxes in the hallway between the Blue Café and the narthex.
Also, if you need help getting the items to church, please let the church office know, or one of the team members (Melissa Baer, Bonnie Downs, Missy Marcella, Donna Teachman or Connie Turnipseed). We can help!
